Good points.
It would still be very useful for us to have cross-referencing. LaTeX,
MS Word, and other systems provide a means for cross-referencing
(including a way to print them), and the feature is quite useful in
documentation.
Can we request this as an enhancement? Part of the enhancement request
would be that the link would change with the link target. The Mifos
manual is likely to get very large.

Yes, we would like this. Would you mind making AnitaAnderson and
AdamMonsen maintainers for the Mifos manual?

6. Is there a way to build a true index, cross-referencing locations
in the text to specific words and phrases, like what you'd generally
see at the end of a textbook? (and like what appears in the most
awesome book "Conversation and Community: The Social Web for
Documentation")?
7. Is there a more convenient interface for the upload manager? Like,
a bulk upload, or a WebDAV frontend?
