But because the Free Software Foundation already set up a wiki page for us, as I reported earlier in this email thread, let's use that for the Introduction to the Command Line: *https://libreplanet.org/wiki/Ittcl * Jaysinh, I greatly appreciate the thorough review of the book, and your fixes. My understanding of the FLOSS Manuals process (which someone else can comment on) is this: anyone can change the "write" online copy of the book. The change doesn't go into the "read" or print copy until it is approved by someone who is given authority by FLOSS Manuals. Nobody has taken on that authority so far. I personally can see that the $args bug you pointed out is a real error, and probably your other fixes are correct too. I think we were all waiting until we did an official revision of the book before releasing fixes. But we have been waiting too long. I am willing to try to commit the fixes to the "read" version over the next week. I also added Jaysinh's euggestion for exercises to the FSF wiki. Hi there Mario,

I've sent you the links in another email.
I have noticed the same bug that Greg mentioned and I've logged it here.

https://dev.sourcefabric.org/browse/BK-2501

Please note - anyone thinking of creating a book which requires a pdf
output and may need long
code entries should be aware of this.
Andy O, I'm thinking of you especially here.

Bug report follows.

Hi there,

Pdf outputs do not format
code correctly - no line wrapping. As
many of Floss manuals books have such code we can't really progress,
without some kind of work around.
Screenshot example attached - this is a pdf screen output from following
manual - Chapter 14 is shown.

https://omnibook.pro/chuck/_edit/#toc

Thanks

Mick

Hi Mick,

thanks I saw your links and they were ok. I also saw the issue with the
pre code, what you think would be the next step to mitigate this?

cheers,

Mario

Hi there Mario,

I've done some more digging into this and found out the root cause.

Hopefully this can fixed soon. But if not I is fixable by some code
editing as well. So let's wait a bit and then see.

In the mean time I'll add the updated version of the HTML and epub to
flossmanuals.net if that's ok?

Thanks
Mick
