<pre wrap="">#386: ePubs don't open in iBooks (iPhone)

Hi,
I downloaded some ePubs (this for example: <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://en.flossmanuals.net">http://en.flossmanuals.net</a>
/Booki-User-Guide/_booki/Booki-User-Guide/Booki-User-Guide.epub) but they
won't open in iBooks 1.2.1 on iOS 4.3.1):
I get the following error (translated from german):
"Bookformat error
The book can't be opened because the format wasn't recognized or is
invalid."
When I re-converted the ePub using calibre I could open the new ePub in
iBooks.
Is this a known problem?
TIA,
Raphael
