[FM discuss] Going home

I just wanted to point out that currently both the editing and the
viewing interfaces lack a major usability feature, and that's the
ability to navigate "home".
Using Pure Data as an example:
On the edit interface, there is no link anywhere to get back to:
http://en.flossmanuals.net/bin/view/PureData/WebHome
And on the viewing interface, there is no link which takes you to:
http://en.flossmanuals.net/PureData
The commonly accepted practice would be to place such a link prominently
in the upper left hand corner of the page, or at least at the very top
of the menu tree. But sadly it's in neither. I did have a look at the
Audacity manual to see if things were different there, and found that
http://en.flossmanuals.net/audacity/
and
http://en.flossmanuals.net/Audacity/Introduction
contained the same information. Are they the same page, and you've done
some kind of linking? Or are they different pages with the same information?
Anyway, Jakob Nielsen would be foaming at the mouth if he saw this, and
actually I find it irksome that I can't get back to the main editing
page without manually typing its address. So maybe we can change that?
best,
d.
