yeah it works fine here in Debian and also in Ubuntu. just CTRL-b-key to
bold. most of the others i would want to use (esp CTRL-i-key) seem to
work just as well. i'll test on Marta's Debian lappie soon as she uses a
Spanish layout (though i'm sure CTRL has the same keycode).
