i think it would be good if you can offer an
alternative. 

It is possible to upload your audio files to
archive.org and then link within wordpress to them and
create a blog in that way.  

I've done a very quick manual showing people how to do
this with a wordpress.com account.

I would say that this would need further work to
explain what is happening, and testing i guess.

We were going over this with some of the video editing
manuals. i would say yes, within the context of FLOSS
software, ie. This is what FLOSS can do, this is what
it currently can't do, here is some info or a link to
software or services which do do that. 

I think that this kind of feed back is useful to the
FLOSS community as it focuses attention on areas and
features that people need.
