Hi all

As Adam has mentioned I am managing the Farsi translations of
flossmanuals. We now have 2 people in Iran and 2 here in New Zealand
working on the translation project, and a few others who will start on
it soon. They are all really enthusiastic about it, and think it will be
a really useful resource for Farsi speakers - they love the design,
usability, and tone of the site.

These manuals have now been or are currently being translated: Firefox
(complete), Azureus, Kino.
These manuals are ready for translation: Avidemux, Icecast, and Blender

And these ones will be ready for translation in a week or so: MuSE,
Theora, M3W, FLOSS Manuals

There will be another 4 after that.

I have done heaps of proofreading on the manuals that are now being or
are ready to be translated. I've cleaned up lots of typos and made a few
sentences here and there a bit clearer or more consistent. I haven't
changed anything that would affect the meaning of the manuals, but it
might be a good idea to double-check : ) Please only tell me if you find
something critical though as i have already pasted them into odt
documents and sent them away...

The next ones to go will be MuSE, Theora, M3W, FLOSS Manuals
I would really appreciate it if any of you who've been *meaning* to get
back into one of those and update it / proof it / tidy it up, etc, could
have a go at that in the next week.

Please bear in mind that the manuals will be used by people for whom
English is not a first language and they will be translated into a whole
other language, so I want to make sure that we aren't leaving in weird
things that could skew the meaning in translation. Of course this
requires balancing the friendly tone of the manuals with their
understandability...

And, we are yet to decide on the final four lucky manuals for
translation, so please let me know if there is any other manual you
think really needs (and is pretty much ready for) translation.

I've been enjoying actually taking the time to read closely through the
manuals, there is a lot of great work in there!
Thanks.
Zita
