Thanks Adam, hi all.

Not sure how many folks on this list I will have met face to face, but
looking forward to inputting to the list and the development of FM.

I've been working on the festival circuit for a few years, most recently
on transmediale, but before that was working on Dott 07 and AV Festival
08 & 06. Currently working out of Berlin, where I'm focusing on a few
creative projects and generally making ends meet. Attended my first FM
booksprint at the end of February and was smitten with the community,
concept and potential of your open documentation movement.

Next steps with regards to FM is to try and develop an open process of
creating hand-made manuals that are efficient and easy to make, but
attractive and quality enough to sell. Ultimately, I think the aim
should be to produce something unique and desirable but through an open
model of production that encourages people to take the manual-making
template and either make their own FLOSS manuals, or embark on their own
open publishing project.

If it's okay with you, I'd like to share some of the thoughts and
processes on the list and blog and get as much feedback and creative
input as possible. We have already a few prototypes made and have some
nice ideas to implement that will make them, hopefully, really special.

Either that or we could just all save up for a £120k Espresso...

There's some implications there for the publishing industry that we can
come back to another day, I guess... :)

Best wishes, Adam
