Hi Maria,

it would be great if you could work converting the images to grayscale 
(desaturate in GIMP terms) into this process. Then print on a decent 
printer to test how they come out.

Once you've got something which works, could you please post the steps 
to the list here, and someone can work out the script to automate the 
process.
