This looks better than my attempts with levels

What I did was also very simple.
If you go on Gimp to color, then levels you can see that you have  
presets. These presets you can ' record' and apply to all images.

You can import or make a setting for the levels. When you constrain  
the levels you get more contrast also, but you can do it with more  
nuances. I guess my settings are a bit too close to each other. What I  
wanted was to use the same setting for ALL the images.
