[FM Discuss] konquerer and FM

Hey,

I did try working with the site in Konqueror 4.2. Here's one data point:

Able to read and create PDF for Inkscape manual.

Registered on the site and edited my User Page with no difficulty.

Was unable to use Remix. No specific errors (permission or otherwise), but
would get a black box when using the dropdown menu to select a manual to
remix. On subsequent tries, could generate a visible menu, but chapters did
not appear, much less drag-n-drop.

Couldn't generate any permissions errors, though. Any theories about causes
would depend on when and where you got the error. Wait...Let me take some of
that back: I do recall that in some Konqi versions, if it saw just plain
text on a page, it would load the default text editor (KWrite or whatever
was selected as the default) in the browser window. That might explain a
permission error when you tried to save edits. This is a setting in
Konqueror 3.x. Again, no problem in 4.2 as far as I can tell.

Mike
