Definitely there was a group cohesion that emerged. Emma Jane said on her
blog "We're not just conference participants anymore, we're a crew." The
biggest thing is that the Ubuntu, Gnome, and xfce people realized that more
cooperation and communication upstream and downstream (between desktops and
distros) could benefit everybody. The WritingOpenSource website is picking
up new members who were not at the conference, such as from PHP, Evergreen,
WordPress, and openSUSE. I mentioned the interest in DITA in my blog posts;
I'm working on finding DITA people for Shaun M to talk to so he can wrap his
head around it.
