This is an interesting thread. Do you suppose there's some collaboration opportunity here?
I don't think they want to move to new tools, but they might be open to FM if we showed we were a dynamic organization that could help them.
But I'm afraid the "encyclopedia" idea is too broad and vague for either they or us to take on.

why not? We have the wiki, we are well known... lack just authors
If you want to begin a frameork on the wiki, go on. We still don't use
categories, and this could be a good beginning.
of course these docs must not have the "HOWTO" in the title, may be no
special title, only the "Linuxpedia" category?
linuxpedia is already taken (in french)
