Comments like :
"such as the OLPC attack on global poverty." are not particularly
relevant to a FAQ on FLOSS Manuals.
I have mentioned OLPC only as I found it directly relevant to FM, and
this was really relevant only when used as an example of how one person
(Anne) had brought specific content to FM, which is relevant to the FAQ
"Why do you have so many manuals on X?".
As for Earth Treasury and Larry etc...please forge ahead on this, but
please remember that his FAQ is about FLOSS Manuals. So the statement :
"Earth Treasury is creating a consortium to write a new generation of
digital "textbooks" incorporating FLOSS. Among its plans is material to
assist teachers in using FLOSS and related materials on the Internet in
the classroom. Schoolchildren can contribute essays on topics from their
own country, language, and culture, translate published material into
their own languages, participate in scientific data collection, and
otherwise do homework of value to their communities and the world. These
textbooks will be published through FLOSS Manuals."
is not appropriate as it is more about Earth Treasury than FM. Please
don't use FLOSS Manuals FAQ to push other organisations. It is meant to
be a clear, clean, FAQ about FM.
I appreciate all the other content that you put in the FAQ, its great
stuff.
