No, no law, just a question of convenience. I find it startling when I
click a title to see a Table of Contents and page 1 of chapter 1, and
no obvious way to find the date of publication or the version of the
software.

That's fine for books discussing one piece of software. How about Circumvention?

I see that I did make a mistake there. OK, so in the version on Write,
the content changed, and the _Credits_ didn't get updated. I suppose
you plan to do the update when we publish a new "edition"?

Yes, I see my mistake. That's the Credits chapter.
