Do we know who translated How to Bypass Internet Censorship to Farsi?
Can we get them to the attention of the VOA Persian News Network? Hida
Fouladvand, Executive Editor, was talking on C-SPAN today about the
need for millions of dollars for Tor routers to support Iranian and
Chinese bloggers, and about the need for education on the subject.

Panelists talked about the impact of new media in Iran. Topics
included the increasing number of bloggers and citizen journalists who
criticize the Iranian government in spite of the risk of prosecution.
Nik Kowsar showed cartoon stills of various criticitisms on the
government. He was jailed for some of his cartoons. Following their
discussion panelists responded to audience members' questions.

Voice of America beams a youth-oriented TV show into Iran each
evening, usually a mix of Hollywood releases, music videos and tips on
high-tech gadgets. This week's show featured a weightier topic: how to
evade a crackdown on free speech.
