Best if someone from your organization (for instance, you or another
interested person) does it. Usually you have to interview several key
people - the people who used or "bought" (decided to use) the
software, and the business people who derived the benefits. Then you
take the info in the interviews and combine them into a single
document.

I can introduce you to those people at Mifos.

What you are looking for is:

Context - what does the person or organization using your software do
for business, to make this come alive. Sometimes you can also make
this real by talking about real people.
Problem - what is their pain or problem
Solution - how did they use your software to solve the problem
Results - what were the business results they got?

answer in a case study:
