so...

well, we talked a bit about 'what if someone was to doc their internal
systems'...i think James brought it up. He said that would not really be
ok for him, and I think I agreed that under those circumstances the
person(s) could install their own version of booki

but...now i am rethinking...and i am rethinking because the road to
booki is full of interesting unanticipated discoveries...in particular i
find this interesting:
http://booki.flossmanuals.net/v2_web/edit/

In Rotterdam there is a media lab called 'v2' and they do lots of
interesting things. They use all free software. I was very surprised,
and pleasantly so, to see that they had started documenting their
internal site...built on Plone...in FM...this is the first time this has
happened and it is a direct result, I believe, or letting anyone set up
a manual...as opposed to the old system where only john or i could do
this...

so...i think this is wonderful...it is a pity that their is not a good
plone manual in FM...if there were...then v2 could use parts of that
manual to make their inhouse guide...that makes a tremendous amount of
sense to me and it could be a wonderful new way that people use FM. it
also makes it a good argument to get manuals in the FM repo for content
management systems....

the fact that the v2 manual is not added to a group means it effectively
lives in a 'private' space...we can list the generic manuals on the
front page and then enable anyone to use this 'user space' (forgive me
for using this term...) to do their own thing (as long as it is about
free software)...

this seems to me to have enormous potential
