[FM Discuss] questions about place

What he said. Booki as software, not just booki as a service. Download,
discuss, contribute, etc. for the software itself. Is that part of the
picture?
By analogy, identi.ca is a service that uses the FLOS software StatusNet.
You can either download the StatusNet software, or use it as a hosted
service. My thought was that flossmanuals.net would be one of potentially
many services that use booki software, possibly as a hosted service. (I
don't to push this analogy too far, as StatusNet is also a business that
provides customization and support, which is a whole other issue that is off
the track of the current discussion.) My main question is: is booki just a
service, or is it also a software package?
