Well, I think the issue is more along the lines of not having the desire 
to open the source - lots of reasons for that, although it would seem 
silly in this community ;)

I wasn't really discussing "whether", however, but "in what manner" the 
software would be distributed.  I think that needs to be made clear in 
planning.  It could be a little messy if people go to booki.cc looking 
for the software and it's not there.  Or if it is there alongside the 
booki service.  So, unless we'd want dev of the booki backend on the 
same domain as collaboration on booki documents, this should probably be 
addressed in the discussion of where and wherefore =)
