Hi all -
Janet Swisher and I are submitting a proposal for a talk and a booth at the
Texas Linux Fest in April. We walked through the details of what we might
need to stock a booth with books.

The titles we're going to price for printing are once that the Linux
audience might purchase in print, like How to Bypass Internet Censorship and
Introduction to the GNU/Linux Command Line. We'll price them to include
donations back to FM and FSF.

How do I get the covers for those books?

I'm also considering donating the startup costs for printing books through
Lightning Source. I see the setup as the online way to taking files to a
printer. I do want to run it by this group to any gotchas or considerations.
I know Adam's concern is that Lightning Source may not allow updates once an
ISBN is assigned, which I'll investigate. Are there other considerations? My
plan would be to buy US ISBN numbers, does that have any inherent problems?
Also, I'd have to choose a limited set of books for set up to keep costs
down - what would be the "best" titles, and what criteria would you use to
select those?

Thanks for your help!
Anne
