I think this is a good addition, providing context for our work. Can you edit the outline on the wiki? Some pointers to information on this movement (California, etc.) and the particular OLPC projects would be helpful.

How about some information on the movement to replace printed
textbooks with free (either no-cost or Free licenses) licensed
electronic materials? One of the selling points of the next generation
of OLPC laptops is that they will cost less than textbooks in almost
all countries.
