hi,

Booki now has a blog thanks for Micz :)
http://blog.booki.cc/

It is linked from Booki.

So I think we should really make this blog zing and get a roster of
regular posters.

I think the first list of topics for the blog could include:
1. projects using booki
2. books published / epubs created using booki
3. booki development
4. cool booki tips and tricks

Remember that Booki will be used for books outside of what we do now
with FM...so we dont want to focus too much on documentation since we
need to help people see they can write any kind of book with booki. We
will keep the fm blog going for news specifically about fm.

For the above topics we will invite people to make a post about their
project. Already I can see there are some projects that would be good to
have a post or two from:
1. James and the Rural Design Collectives activities with Booki
(Objavi)...James/Anne/Webchick?
2. Collaborative Futures...Mushon?

In addition to the above project based topics it would be very nice to
make the blog a place people would come to read about what is happening
in the world of free software and publishing in general. For example
topics like:
1. What is happening with the epub 'psuedo standard'
2. what is happening with open hardware ebook readers
3. creating books using open source DTP
4. free (libre) books

and so forth...the blog then becomes a place for people to find out
about whats happening with free books, open standards for books, and
free software publishing in general...

For these posts we need regular contributions. Please let me know if
this is an area of interest for you and if you would like to make
regular posts. I will be away from tomorrow as it happens (until August
14)...but drop me a line if you would like to be a regular and I will
follow it up with you when I get back.

I haven't talked about it with John yet but I am guessing he will be the
blog admin (is that ok john?)....

Great...looking forward to getting this all on the road :)

adam
