Yes - I have had success using @font-face with OBJAVI - you can view  
my CSS here:

The trick is that you must have a server to upload the fonts to if you  
wish to use a custom font (otherwise you are limited to the default  
set in OBJAVI). It would be nice if free font services offered a  
repository for linking to free fonts directly for web use, but  
performance issues must prohibit them from doing so.
