I would avoid MS fonts, and look at Free fonts available with Linux. I find

Babel Unicode Regular, Bold, Italic, Bold Italic (Basic Latin, Latin
1, Latin Extended A, Latin Extended B, Greek, Cyrillic, Hebrew,
Georgian)

Charis SIL Regular, Bold, Italic, Bold Italic (Basic Latin, Latin 1,
Latin Extended A, Latin Extended B, Latin Extended C, Latin Extended
D, Greek, Cyrillic)

Deja Vu Sans, Sans Mono, Serif (Basic Latin, Latin 1, Latin Extended
A, Latin Extended B, Latin Extended C, Latin Extended D, Greek,
Cyrillic, Armenian, Hebrew, Thai, Lao, Georgian, Unified Canadian
Aboriginal Syllabics)

Gentium Basic, Gentium Book Basic; regular, bold, italic, bold italic
(Basic Latin, Latin 1, Latin Extended A, Latin Extended B, Greek,
Cyrillic)

Gentium, GentiumAlt; Regular, Italic

GFS NeoHellenic

GoudyBookletter1911 Bold, Condensed, Bold Condensed, Italic, Light,
Light Condensed (but no Bold Italic)

and more down to

Times New Roman

Ubuntu

If any of these will serve, we can discuss the other possibilities,
perhaps offline.
