Can we add something like this to FLOSS Manuals, to point to other Free
manuals and documentation for Free Software using crowdsourcing? This
would be an excellent resource for remixers.

10 Open Source Social Bookmarking Platforms
http://webtecker.com/2008/02/23/11-open-source-social-bookmarking-platforms/

As part of Replacing Textbooks, I would love to have a way to collect
bookmarks to OERs that already exist and allow the submitter to
categorize them. Here are a list of 10 Open Source Social Bookmarking
Platforms. I looked at them but I didn't see a clear winner based on
what is available from these links.

This work of identifying and categorizing existing OERs is a precursor
or parallel process to more general replacement of textbooks by
creating new "textbooks" as there may be opportunities to
redistribute, remix, add interactivity, integrate Sugar Activities,...

“Scuttle is a free open source software for creating social
bookmarking sites like del.icio.us. You can create a social
bookmarking site in minutes using scuttle for your personal or for
community use. Scuttle supports most of the del.icio.us API, so you
can modify the del.icio.us tools to work with scuttle. Import your
existing bookmarks from browsers or from del.icio.us. Scuttle has
several AJAX features and it generates an RSS feeds.”

I personally like delicious so Scuttle: Open source social bookmarking
sounds interesting. However there isn't much information at the link
provided
http://sourceforge.net/projects/scuttle/
I particularly like the Firefox plugin for delicious and this may not
be available for the opensource application.
