[FM Discuss] Deleting an unwanted book from My Manuals?

It might have been better to anticipate this situation by providing a 
"scratch" or play area. But I think it's OK to delete a temporary, 
experimental item. After all, version control systems allow you to 
remove branches. That's philosophically the same.
