It may be more reasonable to tryout the badge syst with a not this tough
(brown) cookie, like Audacity, but I believe that thinking about Badges
for fully trained and fledged BookSprint facilitators might me one
concrete way to address the training of the facilitators at last.

In several project opportunities/dreams, the lack of trained facilitator
is an issue (not to mention the lack of facilitators in a language that
is not English or French - and maybe Dutch and Finnish now - sorry guys
I do not know who has the "non-badge" now).

If we let this situation rot, and at the same time keep bragging about
the true magic of the Book Sprint, we'll quickly end up with full of
goodwill but not so good amateur BS happening everywhere (maybe not so
bad after all, people will learn, no?) and/or bigger orgz taking over
the BS concept (and name) to get big $ to do cheap and dirty so-called BS.

If there is an acknowledgment that training facilitators (at least for
Free Software focused BS) is part of FM's mandate, the badge system,
apart from being an incentive for trainees, a community building asset,
and a guarantee -for FLOSS communities - that a facilitator is fully
baked, would also be way for FM to structure the training path for
facilitators. Something like:
1/ been to a 1-day workshop on BS - level 1 => facilitator white belt
2/ assisted a facilitator for a 3 to 5 day BS => junior facilitator
3/ led a 3 to 5 day BS, with a tutor-facilitator in the room => senior
facilitator
4/ been to a "how to train/mentor a facilitator" 1 day session =>
tutor-facilitator

Don't know if that makes sense - that may be out of reach for FM for
now, and we'd most probably need financial support to put that in place
-  just thoughts.

We can also think of a level 5/ were you'd have to grow long curly hair
and be able to impersonate kiwi accent perfectly.
