I reached out to him and he was very responsive. I'm also on the open 
badges list. I see everything is embryonic - there is very little 
documentation - so I didnt know, for example that open-badger was pre 
OBI until just now...

we could do with some python hands to help us get badges working 
fluently in booktype. I am working with the Siyavula project on just 
that but all hands welcome.
