as with many features fm had this feature before booki/booktype since it 
was implemented via template hacking. Kurund Jalmi implemented this 
feature for fm during a civicrm sprint but because it was not included 
in the core sources for booki when fm was upgraded we lost the feature.

this is the case now too, we must update the templates before we update 
booktype for fm because the templates have stuff that core booktype 
doesnt and also because there are new features in booktype that fms 
version doesnt have and some of the structure has now changed (so 
changes must be made to the fm templates).

what it comes down to is this - we need better tech support in fm. this 
is actually something i am going to bring up at the board meeting this week
