When uploading images to booki.flossmanuals.net there is an option for
tagging images with Creative Commons licensing. Personally, I would
remove that drop-down and make the screenshots inherit the license of
the manual text. Mixed licensing can be a real headache.

Right, but for Airtime and Newscoop products, both the software and
manuals are released under GPLv3.

So for example if I take a 'getting started' chapter from the manual,
and paste it into the help file for the software, we don't have any
potential license incompatibilities.

In the other direction, I can take chunks of code from the source
tarball and paste it into the manual - we're all good :-)
