Right, the server CPU load could be excessive, and you could also use a
lot of disk space potentially.

It would be better to display a link to the latest PDF export for that
manual (made in the Export tab). Then the authors would have control
over the content of the 'official' PDF at any one time. Otherwise you
would have the situation where a reader pushes the export button while
the authors are in the middle of an edit.

Actually that doesn't look too bad, since the header is only shown once
in the _full/ view.

There is another issue which is that the page content isn't wrapped
correctly on the right margin (in Print Preview, Firefox 17 on Ubuntu).

In theory every page should be printer-friendly, but of course if you
want to print the book accurately you should really be using the PDF
output. I've found the _full/ view most useful for searching the text.

There could be a link which loads a print-friendly CSS file for any page.
