[FM Discuss] happy xmas

hi all

just wanted to say happy christmas and new year to those that celebrate
these things.

it has been a great year for fm, it might not seem so apparent but we
have been putting a lot of work in the background firming up the
infrastructure for FM. Laurent in particular has been following many
leads for funding and support for FM and yesterday we managed to secure
our first substantial grant. It will mean really good positive changes
for FM in terms of infrastructure. We wish to keep M the organic and
open community it is, but in 2013 we will be able to put some more
muscle behind it to push it along and support the community.

More details will be coming next year, but I wanted to say
congratulations to Laurent for doing such a great job, and also thanks
to Mick who has also been putting in a tremendous amount of time and
energy to move this along.

Also, thanks to the board who are a great bunch - they dont interfere
with community efforts but also are helping make FM more robust.

More on all of this in new year, in the meantime have a great xmas and
new year and see you on the list in 2013!
