Hi there, LABtoLABers!

>From january 26th till february 1st, a group of 12 people is meeting
with the purpose of writing, in a colective way, a manual which might
be named "Ten commandments for open source cultural practices"

To accomplish this task we'll use a methodology called booksprint**,
which is inspired in the "floss manuals": it consits on bringing
together a group of people in a short period of time (4-6 days) in
order to write a book. The difference with respect to what was being
done till now is the importance of physical encounter, the speed
(sprint), and that the manuals are given here a more theoretical
approach. The used tool is booki (http://www.booki.cc/) , an online
publishing platform that facilitates this shared-writing processes.
This tool was nominated for the awards "Open Web Award" from the
Mozilla Foundation in collaboration with Transmediale festival.

What are we aking for?

In order to extend the proposal to a higher number of people, and as a
basis for starting the work, we wanted to prepare a list of keywords
to begin the process of discussion and identify some basic principles.
Hence, we're asking some people for keywords  that they consider that
should not be missing in the publication. Are you up for it? ;-)

What we need from you is a basic concept that you believe  is critical
to identify this new type of social and cultural practices that could
be called "open source", which might be defining a paradigm shift. You
can also add a brief description of this concept (maximum of 7 lines),
an image, a video, or a link.

Contributions will be raised in the first sessions and will be the
basis to begin the process of writing. All contributions collected
will appear in the project's blog (www.10penkult.cc) with the hastag
#10penkult . They will also be outlined in the book with the
appropriate reference to the name of each of the collaborators in the
credits.

You can send an email to call4keywords at 10penkult.cc and publish it in
your blog or on your timeline by adding #10penkult

Deadline: january 25th

You can follow the writing development through the booki platform
(www.booki.cc) and our website (www.10penkult.cc).

Thanks a lot!

This is an activity organized by Tabakalera, with the support of ZAWP.
