I've not tried 2.0 but between 1.2 and 1.3 The differences are not massive,
but they do exist.
Exporting files is quite different.
Adding labels to tracks is different (and can work as a simple in and out
marker for on the fly editing)
You can get more than one section on a track (which was really needed) -
not sure if you can actually move those different sections tho.
Has anyone noticed any other major changes?
It shouldn't take too long to alter the text. I've done some of it already,
for the export (although the screenshots I took are missing for that
chapter for some reason)
A question for Adam, I know that you had some good interaction with the
Audacity community when you did the first book, Do you still have contacts?
Do you think they would be interested in a printed FM for Audacity 2.0?
One thing that might be nice is to have all new screen shots. There are I
think about 4 different kinds of screenshots as the manuals has been
updated.
I don't know if we can get around this but if we are talking about being
able to do a new version of the book for 2.0 which would be great, then it
might look nice. That's a good job for the FM interns when we get them.
nice one
