I agree this would be really good to do.
There are a couple of ideas that have been suggested about this.

one is using annotateit.org -
it would be good to try it out maybe

I have to say that I find it very hit and miss for me - so it would be
good if others could try it to see if it works

Another suggestion is a notes section for each chapter for leaving
comments, like a wikipedia talk page.
I'm not sure if this feature has been logged as a suggestion in BookType
