Hi,
Since the list is now open for generic open source stuff I gotta start a thread.
I have been working a lot on WordPress projects. It can be used for
almost any kind of a web page a small NGO or generally a small
organisation might need. However the internal communication side would
need a different platform. I think it is CiviCRM in most cases. But I
am trying to figure out what kind of cases would need something beyond
CiviCRM. What I have in mind is most organizations could use WordPress
for a web site and CiviCRM for internal communications, but is there
something that might be common beyond CiviCRM?
Another thing is collaborative mapping. Finding a really light
collaborative mapping platform has been a problem. I mean a direct
alternative to Google Maps, not professional GIS like Geoserver or
editing of OpenStreetMap itself. Ushahidi suits some projects but it
is somewhat optimized for crisis situations, so it is a bit heavy for
many projects too. Do you know a really simple platform for
collaborative mapping?
