User created at the installation time is called "super user". That
person is managing Booktype installation and his permissions
overwrites everything else. This is not a person who is writing books
or is a book admin. This person is more like a sys admin on a computer
and is suppose to do tasks like "i forgot my password, can you help
me", "can't rename attachment... can you help me", "remove or rename
my book". More then one person can have super user privileges. When
you have super user privileges you have free access to anything on
that Booktype install.
When it comes to book editing you have "book admin", "book editor" and
"everyone else". These are predefined roles for now but architecture
behinds it supports additional roles. Person who created a book
becomes "book admin" for that book. "Book admin" can assign "admin"
and "editor" role to other people. New "admins" will be able to add
new people to the collaboration process and "editors" can just edit
the book. There are some basic security preferences where you can
define this.
