Hi there all,
We've finished putting up the first draft of the Open Video Workbook
which builds on the course 'a look at open video'.
It is available as an online course as part of the School of Open (P2PU)
here.
https://p2pu.org/en/groups/open-video-workbook/
Here's the most interesting chapter if you are not particularly
interested in open video. It's a little about some of ideas on the
process of creating self contained modules in this area.
https://p2pu.org/en/groups/open-video-workbook/content/how-to-use-the-open-video-workbook/
We ended up creating a LOT of content over the three days of the sprint.
There are about 40 chapters there and grouped in 10 modules each of
which could be used to build a fairly extensive workshop around.
Because it was so extensive and created very quickly there are some
improvements that can be made (another run of proofreading). There could
certainly be more images for some of the tasks. We'll look to do some
polishing before the next run of School of Open courses.
But all in all this is a great resource of anyone wanting to teach or
learn about open video. And we had a really good time, it's an
experience we'll all remember! I did a short video on one workshop
technique I used here - which also shows the ship we did the sprint in
(ms stubnitz). Worth checking out if you've not seen it. "it's a big old
ship!"

What we created is also available in offline formats for printing /
ebook etc. This is possible as we used Book Type to create the resources.

Shortly we'll make the book available at FLOSS Manuals too and as a pdf.

There may well be some blog posts to come! Please spread the word if you
can.
Nice one,
Happy weekend.
