Thanks for this info Andre, it looks like pandoc would need the md files
to be in alphabetical order, so prefixing them 01_, 02_ would work

Thanks for sharing that it looks like a great project. Did you share
this with the BookType developers at all yet, as it is in python and I
think there are some things there that might be of interest in terms of
epub generation?
