Great work Martin

I've created an invite code for that Manual so people on this list can edit it.

EFFF32FC?

and here's a pad to make notes for alterations and additions.

https://public.etherpad-mozilla.org/p/fm_manual?

For example there are plenty of chapter we can just drop, but it would be good to put a justification / replacement suggestion on that pad as a record.

Thanks

Mick

Hi,

I have imported the FLOSS Manuals book, you can read it here:

https://en.flossmanuals.net/floss-manuals/_full/

full info here:

Cheers, Martin

Hi there Martin and Sidney,

You export an epub from write.fm and then import it from My Dashboard in http://en.flossmanuals.net

Click the CREATE BOOK button, give it a title and then

I had to lock down the settings so only admins can create books on the site as we are no longer in the golden age of no-spam wikis unfortunately. ;)

But you'll be able to do it Martin.

There's a still a bit of an annoying bug which makes working with imported books tricky as existing images disappear.

But there is a work around here.

This bug has slowed me down a bit, but it can we worked around. So I agree let's port that manual and get it updated for the new system.

I guess also we should think about how a FLOSS Manuals manual would complement this one on Booktype 2.X

Thanks

Mick

Howdy, I am a new volunteer writer and editor for Floss Manuals. Excited to get started. It seems you migrated to a newer version for the site recently. Is this link out of date? :
http://write.flossmanuals.net/flossmanuals/editing-tools/

I visited this to help me get a better idea of how to get started but it doesn't seem to match with the current site. Just a little confused!

Sidney
