Thanks very much, Mick.

I just emailed someone directly whose name was Mick and then received your message through the Digest almost immediately afterward. Perhaps the Mick I emailed was you.

I haven't contacted Andy Oram yet. How can I find his email address?

Thanks again!

Scott

Hi Scott,

Great to have you on board. Have you been in touch with Andy Oram yet who is heading up the Command Line efforts?

As we imagined the traffic discussing this may be quite high to co-ordinate efforts. We set up a separate email list for the project here.http://lists.flossmanuals.net/listinfo.cgi/cl-flossmanuals.net

Also, as we've ironed out some wrinkles with the new FM write site (or more accurately one particular bug just stopped happening in a strange but fortuitous way) - and there are a few projects active now - I'll try to convene an open FM community meeting in the next month which may be of interest to you Scott and others who have joined the list in the last year where we've been in transition.
Many Thanks
Mick

Hi there. My name is Scott and I'm a new contributor. I'd like to begin by working on the Introduction to the Command Line book. I don't know much about the command line, but I've always wanted to learn. I also want to improve my ability to write manuals. I'm going to use the manual to learn the command line, and, while doing so, I'll proofread it. I'm a credentialed English teacher and have done college writing tutoring, so I know a decent amount about writing. At this point, proofreading is all I feel comfortable doing, so if no one objects, that's what I'll work on.

For those professional tech writers out there, I'd also love to have a mentor, so let me know if any of you would be willing to take me under your wing.

I'm looking forward to getting to know the community.

Thanks very much,

Scott Wysocki

Wecome Dimona,

Feel free to post updates and questions and questions for help / participation to this list.

If there's lots of traffic then we can move it to a separate email list to save people's inboxes.

Thanks

Mick
