Thanks William,

That's helpful.

We had a bit of a discussion about this a bit before.

Our core volunteer for admin has more skills in python / django so that is a factor. But at this point I think we are considering all options.

Hi All,

If you are wanting to still use a book creating software

Adam Hyde, who started Booktype, which Omnibook is based on, has moved on, and created the Coko Foundation : https://coko.foundation/

they also partnered to create Editoria : https://editoria.pub/

There are 3 Editoria's flavors
>From the web page:
Editoria's flavors

Currently the application exists in three different flavours each one containing its' own customizations based on required functionalities

  *   Editoria Vanilla<https://gitlab.coko.foundation/editoria/editoria-vanilla>
  *   Editoria UCP<https://gitlab.coko.foundation/editoria/ucp>
  *   Editoria BookSprints<https://gitlab.coko.foundation/editoria/booksprints>

The vanilla flavor includes all the features implemented by the development team and should be considered as the referesh application.

Another app to look at is BookStack : https://www.bookstackapp.com/
BookStack is a simple, self-hosted, easy-to-use platform for organising and storing information.
