Hi all -

Who knew that my experiences collaborating with open source writers halfway around the world would result in a job opportunity right down the road in Texas? I'm in my first week as the OpenStack Technical Writer at Rackspace and very excited to have landed this role. My experiences with the FLOSS Manuals community were a great preparation for the role. And I owe so much thanks - Janet Swisher's updates and connections led me to apply for the job. Adam Hyde's recommendation bumped me up in the candidate list. My hands-on apprenticeship in open source documentation has turned into an opportunity to do what I am passionate about - community documentation.

You can read more about my new role in my introductory blog post at

FLOSS Manuals is a great group of writers, editors, collaborators, and open source advocates. Thanks everybody.

Warmly,
Anne
