didn't realize the current book was as advanced as it is, so let me clarify my
intention, I want to create a "WordPress Quick Start Guide" that lives up to the
promise of "your first site in 3 hours" ie it needs to be super-compact but also
fairly comprehensive. This could perhaps be a single chapter in
Mick's latest "Version 2" below, so would require some massaging of the table of
contents, but I think we can make it work. The total project is more
ambitious which is a practical wordpress reference / userguide and I am in favor
of that too.

class=gmail_quote>ok policy neurosis aside, you seem very sensitive to the
community and shared culture mark and i think that matters more than
anything. personally it think each manual should work out its own road
through this issue. you and mick have a good conversation going and i am
sure anything you do in this vein will be in harmony with a general fm
flow...unless anyone else wants to put in some thoughts i think you guys
should just work it out between you and do what you think is
right

Hi Marc,
I suppose I just us to have an understanding of what you
want to get out of it to make sure that you don't invest time and feel you
aren't getting what you wanted out of it.

Booki is great software for
this and the FM community is great too.
If you ever wanted to do the Marc
B only version of the book, for publication or to use the html / epub
export. then you could always use clone the FM version into booki.cc to
use the material that you want and to take out what you don't.

I am a
bit nervous that we already both have a lot of material that is overlapping
and I'm wondering how that will merge. How do you see this
working?

Maybe a good starting point is for us all to have a look at
what we have come up with so far, and see what we think.

For our
stuff. I think there is a similar aim of being pitched at beginner to
intermediate users. Although this manual details both <A

( which is pretty out of date ) - <A

and revision)
<A
