I think that<br class="">beyond mentioning them, it's not within the scope of a beginners' guide<br class="">to explain how to do installation with them.<br class=""><br class="">So I'd like to ask you to rather flesh out the default option a bit, and<br class="">to not invest too much into the other options. That's going to benefit<br class="">the un-techy users that we're targeting in the guide most.<br class=""><br class="">(I'm not on a Mac, but I've been discussing these things with the people<br class="">who provide the MacPorts port and the Homebrew brew, and wrote the<br class="">install instructions on the website for those ;-))<br class=""><br class="">I'm thinking of maybe splitting the three OSs into separate chapters, as<br class="">that way people can skip the chapters they don't need to read about more<br class="">easily. That would also mean to reorganize the sections a bit.
