I agree on the SEO front.<br>
If we can work out a solution to keep URLs intact that would be great.<br>

But actually we did swap URLs a bit recently from <br>
<a href="http://en.flossmanuals.net">http://en.flossmanuals.net</a> to <a href="http://write.flossmanuals.net">
http://write.flossmanuals.net</a> with a <br>
redirect and google didn't seem too upset<br>

And this is only a factor for new and active books. Ones that are <br>
archived or not being updated - which is most - won't be affected. <br>
Although it might be nice to migrate the top 20 books too.<br>

Preserving the URLs completely would be possible in some ways - and <br>
maybe there are others I haven't thought of<br>
1) setting up or asking BookType to set up a separate instance of omnibook<br>
2) exporting a html zip of each book and pulling that into our own space <br>
and running some script-fu to theme it appropriately<br>
3) pointing something like read.flossmanuals.net at the new server and <br>
seeing if BookType can serve that up as a site alias<br>

3) Is definately worth asking about - I'll do that - it would be a quick <br>
great solution.<br>

2) I don't think we have volunteer capacity to make this happen at <br>
the moment but is definately worth investigating if anyone has a bit of <br>
time to play about with that kind of export<br>

1) I don't think we have the capicity to set up an instance and I think <br>
it is too big an ask for a totally separate instance from BookType too.<br>
