[FM Discuss] table cell alignment

I can get the cells in a table to align one direction (that is, left or top)
but not both. This leads to odd-looking tables, as you can see at

If I try to access the table formatter again, I get a new table
(conveniently located inside the first table).

Is there any way to align text in a cell to both the left and the top?
