I have fixed the characters displayed in the TOC as interrogation marks.

BTW all these characters belong to the iso-latin1. Thus I deducted
that the problem of displaying the TOC rose from a mixture of Unicode
and Iso-latin1 characters.

I used an HTML entity table to replace the accentuated iso-latin1
character by its decimal HTML entity., like from the table here:

The index now shows correctly:

However the published manual still shows the TOC with interrogation
marks although I refreshed many times the page and emptied the cache
of my navigator (Firefox 3.6).

Thus I conclude that the XO_Vi manual needs republishing in ordre to
fix the TOC display problem.
Can somebody do that please.

Also remaining the "Make PDF" problem with Unicode.
