hi,
i am finally gearing up to create 2 UpStage manuals (a users' manual &
an installation guide). i registered on FM, signed in no problem & have
created the first manual (empty shell) but before i get started on the
work i have a couple of general questions.

does a manual have to be part of a "group" to appear in the list of all
manuals? if so, i think i'm going to have to create a new group because
UpStage doesn't fit into any of the existing groups. something like
"online art & performance" maybe, to encompass things other than UpStage
that will undoubtedly come along? any other ideas? (if you don't know
what UpStage is, please go to http://www.upstage.org.nz)

when i registered on the FM site a couple of days ago, i found & browsed
the booki user guide; but today i could not find the booki user guide
anywhere ... i searched the FM site to no avail. there is not even a
link to a booki manual on the list of all manuals ... eventually i got
the idea to go to the booki site, & found the user guide. it would be
helpful if this could be clearly linked to from the FM editing interface.

on the booki site, i found a list of groups that is different to the
list of FM groups, & i guess this is because FM is specifically for
FLOSS whereas books on booki can be about anything. but, if i make a
manual on FM can it then be imported into &/or linked to from the booki
site, & vice versa? (apologies if these questions have already been
addressed & i've missed the discussion.)

happy new year,
h : )
